去る2026年2月10日(火)早朝、弊社クリエイティブディレクター SHUTARO（享年52歳）が、約1年半にわたる癌との闘病の末、永眠いたしました。

故人はこれまで数々の作品を世に送り出し、ゲーム業界の発展に大きく貢献してまいりました。
今後もさらなる活躍が期待されていただけに、その早すぎる別れは誠に痛惜の念に堪えません。

ここに生前のご厚情に深く感謝申し上げますとともに、謹んでお知らせ申し上げます。

なお、葬儀につきましては、ご遺族のご意向により、近親者のみで滞りなく執り行われました。

現在、故人が手掛けておりました『Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement』の制作は佳境を迎えております。
私どもは故人の遺志を受け継ぎ、その志と名に恥じぬ作品となるよう、社員一同、完成に向けて全力を尽くしてまいります。

Announcement of the passing of SHUTARO, Creative Director at ArtPlay

Early morning on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, our Creative Director SHUTARO passed away at the age of 52 after battling against cancer for approximately one and a half years.

SHUTARO has contributed significantly to the development of the gaming industry through the creation of numerous works. His passing is deeply regrettable, especially given the great promise of his future endeavors.

I express my deepest gratitude for the kindness of all of his fans during his lifetime and respectfully announce his passing.

The funeral was conducted only with close family members in accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family.

The development of Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, which SHUTARO was leading, is now at its final stages. We will carry forward his legacy and strive with all our strength to complete this work worthy of his vision and name.

We must respectfully decline any condolence visits, monetary gifts, floral tributes, or sympathy visiting to our company or his family. We deeply appreciate your understanding in this matter.
